On April 2nd the international Jury of the HRD Awards 2015 gathered in Antwerp to review the final selection and choose the winning design and three finalists. The results  will be announced during a grand award ceremony and jewellery show on October 29th 2015 at the World Expo in Milan.

Thirty designers made it to the final selection and submitted their finished designs for final voting. The designs were reviewed on various criteria including their creative conceptualisation, material use, technical complexity, quality of the finish, use of diamonds within the design and the relation to this year’s food related theme “A la Carte”.

“As the jewellery world is dominated by homogenous brands, it’s rather difficult for emerging designers to get noticed. The HRD Awards therefore provide a great opportunity and a vital platform for emerging designers to create contemporary diamond jewellery that will stand out from the crowd” explains Joanna Hardy, Independent Fine Jewellery Specialist.

In addition to the winner and finalists selected by the International Jury, HRD Antwerp decided to organize a public online voting in order for the general public to vote for their favourite design. The start of the public voting will soon be announced.

The jewels of all thirty nominees will be exhibited at the Belgian Pavilion during the World Expo in Milan which takes place from May 1st until October 31st 2015. Starting in 2016, the collection will travel the world and will be on display in various locations.
